Not so brief history...
Let's start from the beginning.
NEMESIS’s musical journey began early, growing up in a home immersed in the arts. He started on violin at age six, explored multiple instruments, and ultimately found his passion in drums at 15. Over the next decade, he wrote, recorded, and toured with several bands across Atlanta and the Southeast, building a strong foundation as a performer.
A career highlight came as drummer for the Glitterdome Allstar Band, a dynamic collective featuring artists like the late Pat Briggs. Known for its high-energy, genre-defying shows, the group earned back-to-back “Best Theme Night” honors from Creative Loafing and performed at major events including Atlanta PRIDE and Hedwig and the Angry Inch move premier.
In 2001, NEMESIS transitioned into DJing, quickly becoming a staple in Atlanta’s industrial, goth, and fetish scenes. His reputation grew through residencies and performances at iconic venues such as The Chamber, Masquerade, & The Shelter, eventually leading to a long-standing role at Dragon Con. There, he became a featured performer across multiple years, known for commanding massive crowds with immersive, high-energy sets.
In 2023, he co-founded The Cult of Dragon Con DJs alongside VJ DARKSHIFT, creating a platform to support and promote fellow performers within the convention community. The group rapidly expanded, playing a key role in organizing and staffing major Dragon Con events.
NEMESIS’s work ethic and determination opened doors nationwide, with appearances in cities like Chicago, Tampa, Birmingham, Panama City Beach, Los Angeles and Hollywood, CA. After relocating to Boston in 2009, he became a regular in the New England scene, performing at events such as Ceremony, HAVEN, BLOOD FEAST and X-Mortis, and collaborating with notable DJs including MOTHRA, ZNUH and Chris Ewen.
Today, while performing more selectively, NEMESIS continues to deliver powerful, genre-spanning sets. With renewed momentum in both Boston and Atlanta, he remains a dynamic force in the scene, with more to come.
